The transformation of health and social care systems around the world is accelerating and requires a new focus. Design is one of the tools that unite managers, health professionals and patients in human-centered innovation. Our experts are experienced designers, managers and change agents working in hospitals in France, Canada and New Zealand. They will share the lessons they learned while transforming practices and fostering value.

Objectives

Ara Manawa offers interdisciplinary design and design research capability with Auckland DHB. Our goal is to improve the experience of patients, whānau, and clinicians through the spaces, systems, stuff and activity of staff involved in the delivery of health care. We work to re imagine and re design how care is delivered as a small team within the hospital. We also connect hospital opportunities to New Zealand universities by offering meaningful problems for students and researchers to solve.

With a background as a hospital administrator in France, Emilie also has a good knowledge of international health systems. In almost 10 years, her career has taken her to Northern Ireland, the United States and now Germany. Director of Dialog Health programs since November 2017, she has organized numerous specialized study trips around the world, developing unique expertise in the various international health systems.
